Job description
Duties and Responsibility:
- Responsible for the navigational equipment onboard Gun, Cable, and Acoustic boats.
- Using navigational systems to guide skippers and labors to perform seismic operations "Deploy/Pick up seismic cables, Shooting source lines, Pinging laid out cables and Nodes, performing Bathemetry activities".
Troubleshooting field problems "Line dragging, Changing bad cables or batteries.
- Fixing navigational Hardware and Software problems if possible.
- Installing navigational equipment.
- Training new and junior navigators.
- Applying and watching safety procedures.
- Positioning survey for seismic tasks on Land Fields.
- Recording the survey data on Land Lines.
- Monitoring the safety in the survey field.
Job requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in offshore navigation
- Proficiency in using GPS and other navigation tools
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with the offshore team
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures in offshore operations
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
