Job description

Duties and Responsibility:

  • Responsible for the navigational equipment onboard Gun, Cable, and Acoustic boats.
  • Using navigational systems to guide skippers and labors to perform seismic operations "Deploy/Pick up seismic cables, Shooting source lines, Pinging laid out cables and Nodes, performing Bathemetry activities".

Troubleshooting field problems "Line dragging, Changing bad cables or batteries.

  • Fixing navigational Hardware and Software problems if possible.
  • Installing navigational equipment.
  • Training new and junior navigators.
  • Applying and watching safety procedures.
  • Positioning survey for seismic tasks on Land Fields.
  • Recording the survey data on Land Lines.
  • Monitoring the safety in the survey field.

Job requirements


  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in offshore navigation
  • Proficiency in using GPS and other navigation tools
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with the offshore team
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing conditions
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures in offshore operations
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
